In more than three decades of staining wood in fine homes in Southampton, Chatsworth, Owen Sound, Meaford and across Grey and Bruce counties, I’ve seen big changes in paints and stains.
If you want the beauty of natural wood with a timeless finish, I can help you choose the best look for your home.
Traditional oil stains take a more traditional approach, with two to three slowly applied coats and proper time allowed between coats. It takes time, but the traditional finish is, in my opinion, worth the attention and care.
Modern acrylic stains dry quickly, but some of the depth and richness you get from oils can get lost if you don’t plan, prep, and apply it correctly.
